12. The Old Goat Paddock

Early spring colour is provided by a collection of pieris and camellias, followed by a spectacular display of rhododendrons and azaleas, with hydrangeas for late summer/early autumn. Trees with spring flowers and autumn fruits and foliage include sorbuses with fruits of yellow, white or red, a snake-barked maple, a beautiful bird cherry and a Tree of Heaven - not far from a Judas Tree!
