Trees (including the white stemmed birch, Betula utilis var. jacquemontii, several maples and magnolias), provide shade for rhododendrons, camellias, hydrangeas, pieris, mahonias etc., with ground-cover of herbaceous plants and bulbs, including the magnificent yellow ‘Crown Imperials’(Fritillaria imperialis ‘Lutea’). |
