2. South-facing Bank

This steep bank mainly features plants for dry situations: Cistus, helianthemums, buddleias, ceanothus, phlomis etc. Trees include the ‘Sunrise Horse Chestnut’ (Aesculus x neglecta ‘Erythroblastos’), Aralia elata, Sorbus aucuparia ‘Sheerwater’ and Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Frisia’.
